Lurkers v Posters

I know a lot of my friends have blogs which I don't read as often as I'd like. And when I do read them, I often leave w/o commenting because I'm in a hurry or just because I nothing to add. I imagine this is the case w/ most people, but it might be time for a little roll call, y'all. I was recently reminded that people are reading this but not commenting, & while I have the tracker, it's not very specific, so I thought I'd dedicate a little space to this little issue. I know Jason, Stephanie, & Holly are reading this on a pretty regular basis, but who else is out there? Stand & be counted, yo! There are also occasional comments from Annette, Steve, & Cmadler. Of course, the comments go up around New Years for the big contest, but in general, I'm fascinated to know who is out there.

A Wiki Week

In my comp classes, I have my students writing Wikipedia pages as part of their multi-genre project. They have to find something that isn't on there already and learn all of the conventions & formatting rules. As it turns out, this has also been a fun little learning project for me. To teach it, I obviously had to learn it & be able to demonstrate it... something I didn't really think about in December when I came up w/ the assignment. In trying to figure all of it out, I've come to a 2-fold realization:
1) It's a pretty fun site
2) I'm loving tweaking stuff & I've made a bunch of changes
* I cleaned up & expanded the Depot Town page .
* I added "The Mexican Slayride" to the Boilermaker page .
* I placed a picture of Isaiah in the Yawn page... mainly because I needed to learn how to add a picture & that's the 1 I had on my office desk-top .
* I created a page for the Michigan Elvisfest... it's still pretty brief, but it's a start & I've got about a week to double its size since I want my class to create pages about twice as long for their assignment.

Along w/ writing the page, they've been discussing the problems w/ the site & it seems that if more students looked into it like this, there'd be far fewer of them who see it as a legitimate source for research projects. The other new project I've got them doing this semester is blogging... if you're interested, there are links to all of their blogs on my class blog.

So Long, George W. Bush!

For those of you who are like me & have to work today, here are a few links you can use to catch the inaugural stuff on-line:
  • Presidential Inaugural Committee 2009: This is the official site, but the stream seams problematic.
  • C-SPAN: They have a lot of streams, which is a mixed blessing... it's hard to decide which one to watch. I'll stick w/ the main 1 as long as it stops breaking up.
  • Terra: for our Spanish speaking friends... our our non-Spanish speaking friends who would prefer to watch it in Spanish... Solstice used to do this all the time w/ kids shows & is much more prolific w/ Spanish than I'll ever be.
  • CNN: The CNN feed has some weird partnership w/ Facebook so I suppose you can poke people while you watch... or throw things @ them or play Wordscraper or....

Holiday Post #9: The Attention Whore Quiz

If you'll recall, only Kate Winslet scored a 100% on last year's quiz. Let's see if you can do as well this year as she did last year. We have 10 multiple choice questions based on things posted on Visions of Ypsi over the course of the last year. Click here for the Visions of Ypsi Attention Whore Quiz, & then post your score in the comments! (The question about the free haircut has the wrong answer... it should be the one about getting my ear clipped, but it's actually the one about wowing the woman w/ my poolside story. The web-site won't let me edit it.) And since we're in the spirit of whoring out for attention, here are a couple pics of me @ Plum Market today in the Horizon Organic Milk Pantomime Cow Suite (Not quite as cool as a pantomime Princess Margaret, but close.) Of course, after taking the quiz, cast your vote for the Visions of Ypsi Celebrity MILF of the Year!

    Bruce Wayne v Clark Kent

You may recall the discussion of "Animated Hotties" a few months ago, but last night, on my way to work, I heard a story on All Things Considered that made me think of Batman and Superman. I honestly don't remember what the story was about or why it made me think about these characters, but regardless, my immediate thought was "that's bloggable!" In the Seinfeld episode, "The Stock Tip," Jerry suggests that Superman might have "super humor," that is, an advanced sense of silliness based on the reaction he has to the yellow sun of Earth. As a comedian, his reasons for being concerned w/ this aspect of Superman's super-powers are clear. But what about his IQ in general? A sense of humor is, in name anyway, a sense, & it seems that his senses are affected by the Sun. Intelligence isn't really a sense so much as a something else... I don't know what, but it's something else. He certainly seems to have great "common sense" as Clark is constantly trying to pretend he doesn't have it. How smart must he be? And is he smarter than Bruce Wayne? My 1st thought was that Bruce is smarter; he's a detective who relies upon research & the scientific method to solve crimes; Clark uses his brute strength to subdue criminals. I'm not as certain anymore though. If Clark has "super-intelligence," the case is closed, but if not, it's down to the evidence we get throughout the books, films, TV shows & radio dramas. Of course, if Clark were smarter, he'd have given up on Lois long ago... unless his interest in her is a cover just like everything else about his persona. Maybe he really wants Jimmy. Anyway, I'm certain they're both relatively smart, but we seem to get more specific evidence about Bruce's intelligence than we do concerning Clark. He apparently has a degree in Journalism which got him a top job @ the Daily Planet which seems to be the Metropolitan equivalent of the New York Daily News, always in the shadow of a bigger paper, but big none-the-less. My gut is saying Bruce is smarter, who do you, dear reader, think has the true super IQ?
I doubt Bruce ever got to meet JFK
When Commissioner Gordon tells Bruce & Dick to come... they come!

    It's Pirate Day Again

That's right folks, it's International Talk Like a Pirate Day. Have you talked like a pirate yet? You still have a few hours left... unless you're the person from Hawaii who reads this once in a while. In that case, you've got a lot of time left. I celebrated today by working @ Plum Market from 8:00-3:00, getting Solstice from school, & then coaching her practice this evening. She is spending the night @ her friend's house now so the rest of us will finish off the grand celebration by eating the pizza (how is it Piratesque you ask? Pineapple makes it tropical). We'll be watching The Three Musketeers. I know it's not technically a pirate movie, but Porthos is referred to as a pirate & it made my list of swashbucklers a couple years ago. Here's the link to the 1st part of the list, & here's the link to the rest of it. Oh, & here's your obligatory Arrrrr.

The Blogging of the Planet of the Apes

You may recall that we watched Soylent Green a few months ago because our recording of Planet of the Apes didn't play properly; well, I recorded Planet of the Apes again & we just finished watching the 5th of the 5 films. That's right, we've watched all 5 in chronological order so I guess I need to discuss them for a few minutes. To begin w/, they kinda suck. I don't think I'd ever actually seen 1 of them all the way through before, but the 1st is by far the best. Like the Star Trek films though, they don't get progressively worse, but rather have a sort of up & down thing happening. The 2nd 1, Beneath the Planet of the Apes, is shit. The humans send another astronaut into the future to find Heston & he & Heston's hot girlfriend find an underground group of mutated humans who worship an atomic bomb. In the end, the bomb explodes destroying the planet. The 3rd, Escape from the Planet of the Apes, follows 2 of the apes, Cornelius & Zira, as they leave the planet just before it explodes, going back in time to 1970s New York (or LA... it's kind of unclear). They become celebrities & even get montages of them getting fitted for fancy clothes in fancy boutiques. It is soooo bad it's got a campy goodness. The 4th 1, Conquest of the Planet of the Apes, picks up w/ the story of Cornelius' & Zira's child, Caesar, as he leads the ape/slaves into rebellion about 20 years after the previous film. It's a bit darker than the other films & has some nice commentary on race & power. The final film, Battle for the Planet of the Apes is a piece of shit beyond anything that the 2nd or 3rd film could ever attempt. Caesar has a power struggle w/ another ape who wants war w/ another set of mutants who live in the ruins of the city (maybe the ancestors of the mutants in Beneath the Planet of the Apes). Over all, I'm glad I finally saw them, but I wish they were a bit better. Oh, & I did see the Tim Burton remake a few years ago too, & that is also a piece of shit. I know some of you have a love for everything Burton, but other than Batman & Ed Wood & to a lesser extent Mars Attacks & Beetle Juice, his films are way way way over-rated. As a side-note, I'm blogging from my car as I'm waiting for a parking spot on campus. Why didn't I just bike, you ask? I had too much to carry today, but I can assure you'll I'll be sure to bring stuff to my office @ other times of the day so I never have to park @ 11:30 ever again. Anyway, had I seen the films as a kid, perhaps I would have more tolerance for them, but as it stands, here are my rankings:
    5) Battle for the Planet of the Apes
    4) Escape from the Planet of the Apes
    3) Beneath the Planet of the Apes
    2) Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
    1) The Planet of the Apes

The Well Organized Vast Coalition of Leftist Bloggers

Cleta Mitchell was on the Diane Rhem Show today & suggested that this coalition has joined together in an organized front to smear Palin (the Governor of Alaska, not the Monty Python cast member). Having missed the organizing meetings, I'm perhaps a couple days behind on this one (I had to let Landon have his say). That said, I'm not certain that it really takes a "vast coalition" to find fault w/ her. Mitchell's claims were about the attention on Bristol (the 17 year old daughter, not the city in England) & Palin's alleged attempts to get books banned from the Wasilla, Alaska Public Library. First off, I absolutely agree w/ Obama's stance that the families should be off limits & therefore we shouldn't attack her because of her daughter. However, when she & the GOP put her eldest son on a pedestal for joining the military & attempt to win our sympathies based on her youngest child, it seems like she's trying to have it both ways (which I'm also sure she's done before... not that there's anything wrong w/ that either). If we are all supposed to look @ 2 of her kids, all should be fair game. As far as the book banning goes, the only "proof" so far that this happened has come from a 1996 article in The Frontiersman, the Wasilla newspaper, where she discussed it a little bit. Of course, it's not completely out of the question; the mid-nineties were full of library book-banning movements. Remember the dude in Ohio who shat in a children's' book about gay parents? Those were the good ol' days of book-banning (well, not as good as Nazi Germany, but pretty good none-the-less). Mitchell's response to the book-burning question was "I'm not commenting on that. She is the target of a smear campaign and I don't know if that even ever really happened, but remember, many parents have been upset by the books their children are forced to read." This is fantastic: what she means here is this: "I'm not talking about it, it might not have happened, if it did it's justified anyway." In her defense, she is right that parents are often upset by what their children are forced to read... Huck Finn, Harry Potter, Slaughter House 5... but that is an issue to be settled between the parent, the student, & the teacher. No one in the public library system is "forcing" people to read books. I don't know though, maybe in Alaska, librarians carry guns... Librarianators... Biblio-enforcers... pistol packin' Athenaeumians... they get archival on our asses... perhaps these are the brain police Frank Zappa warned us about. Maybe I spent too long discussing the book-banning issue, but I'm not in the camp that says this is a personal issue. Her support of censorship may actually be an important thing to know about before we cast our votes.

Anyway, it seems to me that these aren't even the issues people are really talking about. The only times I hear about them is when the GOP think-tank people don't want to discuss the real issues they keep saying we need to discuss. In fact, McCain's appearance on Larry King was canceled after one of these alleged "personal attacks" by the media when Campbell Brown asked Tucker Bounds to discuss Palin's Foreign Policy qualifications. She pressed him to answer the question he tried to deflect in the way any good journalist is expected to & they say she was "attacking" Palin's personal life. Before you watch the interview, I want to say that I keep hearing people say their Republican friends are scared by this VP pick... 1 heart beat away from being the PILF... the hottest VP since Mondale... yet all I see is GOP support. I don't really know any Republicans though, so I'd love to hear from some & get a reaction to these issues. Now, enjoy the CNN clip (& then a little Daily Show fun w/ soundbites), & don't forget, the next meeting for the Well Organized Vast Coalition of Leftist Bloggers will take place in my living room next week... bring beer:

Pirate Week Post #4: Peter Blood

"Id is fery boedigal... Captain Blood is fond of boetry." Or so claims Admiral van der Kuylen @ the close of Captain Blood. I've blogged about the film on many occasions, but only this week, the main reason for the Pirate Week festivities, did I actually read the book. I 1st heard of the book when I was working @ Borders 6 or 7years ago, but then it was out of print. However, a couple weeks ago, when I had my sweet, sweet Amazon.com gift certificate, I stumbled upon it & figured why not? Having read it, I've realized the main reason "why not" is because it kinda sucks... In fact, the author, Raphael Sabatini, may have been a bit racist. But then again, so were many of the writers fro the Modernist Period. Although the narrator in this book goes a bit far @ times... describing a slave as "all teeth & eye balls." I'd expect that from a character, or a writer 100 years earlier, but this is from 1922! The depiction of the Spanish & French is only marginally less offensive, but still not much worse than the depictions of the French during the build up to the War on Iraq. By the end of the book, the English don't get a very good go-around either, but it's not based on some inherent inferiority like the depictions of the Blacks & the Spaniards. If only Sabatini was graced w/ the poetical skills that his character attributes to Captain Blood, it'd be a little less problematic. Still, it's fun like Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan: a guilty pleasure well worth the read.Along w/ reading this book & doing the other things written about this week, Pirate Week also included a viewing of "Sabrina and the Pirates" as Solstice has recently developed a love for Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Speaking of Solstice, she has a new post on her blog so check it out. I also watch, like the Sabrina episode, completely by chance, the episode of My Name is Earl called "Buried treasure". Speaking of new posts, Aiden also has a post on his blog, so check that one out too. This brings us to the close of another fun & moderately successful Pirate Week @ Visions of Ypsi. I now return you to your regularly scheduled soccer and tit posts. Here's a soccer story courtesy of Steve. And here's some tits

    Pirate Week Post #3: Plantains

I've been a fan of the plantain for 5 or 6 years now, but I prepared them for breakfast this morning for the 1st time. Usually, I like to make them tostones style & serve them w/ Killer Quesadillas. I season them w/ cayenne, onion & garlic, & I suppose this would be good for Tastes of Ypsi, but it's here for Pirate Week. At this point, I imagine you're wondering how this is related to pirates, but as you know, pirates were commonplace in the Caribbean, & plantains, though originally from SE Asia, were introduced to the Caribbean in the late 16th Century. In that regard, they're vaguely related to the whole pirate thing. Anyway, I had one sitting around & cooked it up for breakfast this morning. To make it more breakfasty, I sliced it long-ways & fried it up w/ cinnamon, nutmeg, & a little Cayenne & enjoyed on the front porch w/ a cup of tea while reading a book (a book that also fits into the pirate theme but will be discussed later this week). The real reason I'm writing this though is because I was wondering if y'all like plantains & if so how you prepare them.
Note the chipped, piratesque plate & the fancy sprig of basil

    Endorsements, Recommendations, & Retractions

    Endorsement:
The other night, the kids stayed @ their friend's house so we had a little evening to ourselves. We looked into movies or music, but nothing seemed worthwhile so we just walked up to Depot Town for desert before coming home to watch My Name is Earl. On the way there, we were stopped by a woman who wanted us to pet her cat, Mr. B (or Mr. Bee... I'm not certain). Although that was odd, it had nothing on the question her husband asked: "You're Andre the soccer aficionado, aren't you?"
"Ummm... my name is Andre & I like soccer, so I guess so... how did you know that?"
"Oh, I was reading your blog."
This was the 1st time I'd ever had a stranger mention my blog to me. It was pretty weird. I always just assume there are only a few of you faithful readers, but once in a while I get reminded that the blog-o-sphere is a vast place. It turns out, the guy we were talking to is Pete Murdock, former Mayor of Ypsi & current candidate for City Council for Ypsi's 3rd Ward. We talked for a bit & he's a good guy. Aside from the fact that he reads Visions of Ypsi, he really seems to be prepared to work for Ypsi & the people who live here. His main issue is fighting the city income tax which I have mixed feelings about, but over all I'm pretty sure it's a bad idea. I'm down w/ income tax in general, but it doesn't seem like the right solution for this town. If you happen to live in the 3rd Ward, remember this: we @ Visions of Ypsi are officially endorsing Pete Murdock for city council. I don't know who else has endorsed him, but in general, endorsements don't come much bigger than this. I think we can take the fact that he's been reading this blog as an unofficial endorsement of the blog... just a little socio-political logging rolling.Recommendation:
Years ago, I used to drink the hell out of Yerba Mate tea. I don't why, but for some reason I just stopped. Well, @ work today, I notice that Guayaki is now making a pre-bottled version of Yerba Mate Ice Tea. I had the regular, unsweetened & it is fantastic. If you've never had Yerba mate, o yourself a favor. Not only is there a nice caffeine kick, but it's got some sort of clarifying effects to it. It seems to have the same effect as listening to Mozart is supposed to have. Although, I've never really noticed Mozart temporarily raising my IQ, usually he just pisses me off. In which case, Yerba Mate has a better effect on me. In fact, after I drank it I came to a (maybe rather obvious) understanding of Derrida that had never occur ed to me before. While deciding if you should vote for Pete Murdock, you should definitely drink a Yerba mate Unsweetened Iced Tea.Retraction:
The other day, I claimed that Jack Black is in Wall-E. As was pointed out by multiple people, I was wrong so I would just like to clear the air a& retract that statement. I refuse to retract my assertion about his sell-out status though. He was in Tenacious D & High Fidelity & has gone on to be in a slew of shit-ass family movies & thoughtless comedies... not to mention his hosting of the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards... a total hack move. Although, my kids definitely love him now.

    Your Player of the Dayski

I was going to call this post "Oranje Crushed," but I Googled it & found out that there are roughly 1,000 other sites to have used that phrase since yesterday's match, & as important & influential as this particular blog is, I couldn't stoop to that derivative hackiness. What makes this so influential you ask? Well, dear reader, perhaps you didn't notice that the Dutch changed to orange socks. One day Jason & I discuss sock colors, the next day they change their entire kit around. Unfortunately for them, the decision to make the big switch wasn't enough to help them get past the Ruskies. In the future maybe they'll worry less about fashion & more about technique... a lesson they seem to have forgotten since their 1988 triumph when their shirts were ugly as shit, but their skills were unstoppable. I wondered the other day who was going to be able to beat these guys... now we have the answer. The Russian win was due in large part to 1 man, an apparently Arsenal bound FC Zenit St. Petersburg striker. I guess Arsen Wenger made an offer they couldn't refuse... a case of Charmin, some day-old bread & a pair of Levis. This guy is kind of weird lookin', his rosy cheeks & baby fat suggest what could only be Josheresque pubescent puffy nipples inside his Russian jersey. I imagine his puffy nipples will get hard when he finds out he is the Visions of Ypsi Player of the Day for the 3rd day of quarter-finals: Andrei Arshavin.
"Shhhhh... Don't tell anyone I'm player of the Day"

    Shamrocks and Shenanigans

I'm sitting here in my new living room watching Euro 08 (Germany v Poland) & blogging on my newly renovated laptop. Solstice did some sort of Webkinz thing on it a while ago and ever since things have been going awry. I took it to the new computer store in Depot Town the other day & now it's working spankingly. The place, Clover Computers, is where Apothoke used to be. They have an assortment of refurbished computers for sale & they fixed mine for a great price. The guys who run the place are a couple of punk-lookin' Irish kids who look like they're straight out of The Boondock Saints (a very overrated film)... or House of Pain (a very overrated 1-hit wonder). (My fantasy striker, Podolski, just scored; I definitely needed those points. I really enjoyed watching Poland 2 years ago in the World Cup & I'm liking them now too... they just aren't good enough to beat the big teams I guess.) These Clover Computer guys are not @ all overrated though. I would definitely recommend them if you are in the market for a computer or if you're looking to get some work done on our current one. Speaking of getting some work done, the ATT guy was here yesterday during the Normal Park Yard Sale. For some reason though, all of the connections on my desktop were gone after I hooked everything up here. Andy, Stephanie's nephew, was here yardsailing for his new apt. & was able to fix it though after the cable guy & I were completely overwhelmed by the problem. Another problem I've encountered lately is w/ my back. Moving has totally kicked my ass. I got all my plants transplanted today though (including the ones I scored last spring in a rather shady manner) & I was able to get some of the big rocks from the old backyard too. I only hope I can make it through my game this afternoon... if not, I don't know where our goals will come from & we're playing our nemeses, the Orange Team, today. Oh, & before I forget, we'd like to welcome Jenn to the wonderful world of blogging; read all about her time in Thailand at her new blog: Jenn in Thailand.

    Gear and Links

Not to bore you w/ a soccer post, but the other day @ a little neighbor hood kick-around I broke my glasses. I showed up and then realized I'd forgotten my sweet sweet soccer goggles. I said to myself "I'll just take it easy & this should be fine." W/in 5 minutes, I went up for a header & saw my former glasses explode in 4 different directions. I have an appointment for next week, so be sure to stay tuned & find out about the new pair... you can count on me to report back as soon as I get them, & if you're lucky, there will be some crazy optometry hijinks to boot. Until then, @ least you can enjoy this fantastic shot of the now defunct official eye wear of Visions of Ypsi.In other gear news, I the George Bush treated me to a new printer & as my 1st order of business, I've started making t-shirts. I have 2 shirts but 4 images so I might need a little help here. Of the 2, 1 will be an Arsenal shirt featuring Arsene Wenger & the other will feature 1 of these 2 images: here and here. I know they're both rather nerdy, but I'd appreciate it if you could look beyond the nerd-factor & cast a vote for the image that should adorn the shirt. W/ this in mind, I'd also like to announce the beginning of the new Visions of Ypsi t-shirt line: for 15$ you get a t-shirt (L, XL, XXL) w/ a picture of Tub Girl & the Visions of Ypsi URL. If sales go as expected, I'd be happy to introduce shirts w/ other images too. Come to think of it, the sales of the bumper stickers never really took off (go figure), so this could really open things up to a whole new market. BTW, here's the Arsene Wenger shirt I'm making (I don't know what's happening w/ his thumb, but it can't be good):
    Trust Arsene
Speaking of opening things up to a whole new market, here's the first of a few links I have for y'all today: If you like cereal in a way completely different from how I like cereal, than you might just like this. Then, of course, in other body image news... or for those of you interested in Children's Literature, there's this, My Beautiful Mommy. It's a children's book about how to explain your new boob job or your tighter ass or your fuller, cock-sucking lips to your kids. Dr. Michael Alexander Salzhauer is quite the author... I smell a Newbery! Finally, in an attempt to come full circle, check out this Darth Vader hot air balloon. The link is about a year old, but posting it while I'm considering a Darth Vader shirt seems mildly apropos. Last, but not least, when I got the new printer, I also scored a couple new hats that will join the Moonlight BBQ hat in helping get me through the awkward, growing out phase of my hair. (It's definitely past the product stage now.) You're going to have to settle for a phone-cam pic though because suddenly my camera isn't working. If I can't get it working, George Bush may be treating me to a camera too.

    Old Posts, New Posts

Before I started blogging, I thought the whole idea was stupid as Hell. 1st of all, I never thought anyone would actually look @ it... apparently I was wrong on that count though because I'm averaging 28 hit a day. I suppose I need to thank you all for taking the time out of your otherwise useful lives & actually reading my trivial bullshit. Speaking of my trivial bullshit, I was scrolling through some old posts today looking for something I never ended up finding; I did find some pretty good forgotten stuff though, like remember the time I went to the Chick Inn? Or the time I almost got the Rutherford pool to open up for late night skinny dipping? or the time Jason made fun of me in the comments section? or the time Kate Winslet (probably while being naked) scored 100% on my little quiz? Of course, there is also this action shot of my father playing Jean's wii that I'd forgotten about. There was also that time Stacey left a funny, but somewhat snide comment. That little walk down memory lane also reminded me that I haven't posted a soccer up-date in a while... not to mention I got a request for one in my e-mail today, so keeping w/ my "give the people what they want" policy (a policy evidenced by "Tubgirl"), here you go:My indoor team still sucks balls, & I'm still leading the scoring. I have 9 goals from 6 games which is more than I've scored over the last 5 years combined. It must be my peak physical conditioning.another team that seems to be sucking balls lately is Arsenal. Since February, they went from sitting top of the table in the league & looking like likely winners of every cup they were involved in to falling the 3rd place & being knocked out of every cup competition. they lost 5-1 to Tottenham in the Carling Cup, they lost 4-0 to Man U in the FA Cup & they went out of the Champions league after a 5-3 aggregate defeat to Liverpool. Granted, i will blame the ref for the Liverpool loss & Eduardo's nasty injury for their fall down the table in the league, but 5-1 & 4-0 in domestic cups is ridiculous. Don't wory though, I still have faith in next year. As of right now though, it looks like Donnie's favorite metrosexual, Cristiano Ronaldo, pictured above in tears, will lead Man U the league championship again... and maybe some silverware in Europe as well. You may remember Ronaldo as the break out star of the 2006 World Cup. He featured prominately on the old blog that summer. Well, he's definitely emerged as the greatest player in the world right now... that fucker.

In a Blogosphere Far, Far Away

You were thinking "What the Hell is going on here?" as she dressed all Dom in Sky Captain & the World of Tomorrow. You were on the edge of your seat for her deleted scenes on the 2nd disc of Revenge of the Sith. You thought she was pretty sweet in that one episode of Entourage. You thought it was odd when she just barely avoided a lesbian orgy because of a mix-up about her name: "Are you bi? Yes.. I am Bai." You were again left asking, "What the Hell?" as she played Jack's psychic tattoo artist on Lost. You've wondered how many "nip-slips" she can have before they are no longer considered "slips:" Example 1, Example 2, Example 3, & Example 4. (I promise, none of those links are to Tub Girl.) You assumed it was about time for her to get arrested when she was busted a couple days ago for shoplifting. Well, now you can follow all of her hijinks's (or Bai-jinks), complete w/ bad grammar & poor punctuation, @ her very own blog. Along w/ her destruction of the English language, you will also find enough self-photos from her phone to rival any Facebook album of a 14 year old. Be sure to enjoy it... she seems to update it more often than I update this. If only she would clear up the confusion about her name: is it Bai Ling or Ling Bai?
