The final group stage game... & a new job
I scored a job @ Plum Market to which I need to go in a few minutes, but before I mosey over there, I'd announce for y'all today's award winning player. Xabi Alanso played well as Spain's de facto captain, but the play-maker was really a young man from North London. I'm not sure if Spain will be able to go much further unless Luis Aragonés realizes that this guy needs to be in the starting line-up all the time. So, w/o further ado, your Visions of Ypsi player of the Day for Game Day 12: young Cesc Fabregas.

Fabregas isn't always in the starting lineup? For real? What the hell?
No
He seems to be the second choice. He often comes off of the bench, but maybe it's because he's so young.
The Spanish coach is an asshole though so if Fabregas doesn't play, I like to see them lose. He was caught on film making some really strange racist comments about Thierry Henry a couple years ago. I don't like him.
It shouldn't matter how young he is. He's obviously one of their best players. No wonder Spain always shits the bed in international tournaments when they have idiots like that coaching their team.
That does seem to be a pretty stupid move. Maybe he doesn't want to win?
I can't think of who it is that's been starting over him, but I would think that Cesc will have to be the starter soon.
