My concern lies in the fact that he made a few really cool films and then w/ Mannequin and Weekend at Bernie's his carreer just took a nose-dive.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8707896367787504774.post-30688784201043608512007-10-06T23:37:00.000-05:002007-10-06T23:37:00.000-05:00You really care about what happened to Andrew McCa...You really care about what happened to Andrew McCarthy...now who's the one on PCP?

As far as the video goes, I'm just mesmerized by the announcers' accents.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8707896367787504774.post-73063066023982063152007-10-06T19:31:00.000-05:002007-10-06T19:31:00.000-05:00I'm not saying 3 years is a long time, but most pe...I'm not saying 3 years is a long time, but most people only get a few international caps. 3 straight years is a good run. Tony Meola only had such a long run because the US didn't have any other options. Certainly Kahn and Barthez had long runs, but they were some of the best in the world... as Dida was for a while. Cech will have a long rn before he retires too. He's still pretty young.

I'll have to see it again. I've never seen American Psycho either and supposedly there's a Glammerama movie being made by the same people that made The Rules of Attraction.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8707896367787504774.post-40133469150158250452007-10-06T17:54:00.000-05:002007-10-06T17:54:00.000-05:00And Rules of Attraction doesn't really have much o...And Rules of Attraction doesn't really have much of an end. In fact, the first time I saw it, I thought the DVD was fucked up and I had missed the end. It cuts off, kind of like the end of the Sopranos. Maybe it's where that douchebag got the idea from.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8707896367787504774.post-31403884410595128522007-10-06T17:52:00.000-05:002007-10-06T17:52:00.000-05:00Really?!!! The list goes on and on of guys who have served longer than 3 years. I think you should edit your post and research your thoughts before making such wild claims in the future. "3 years is a long time" is a piss poor argument in support of your comments.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8707896367787504774.post-56199130485425649602007-10-06T16:16:00.000-05:002007-10-06T16:16:00.000-05:00I saw it, except that the disc I was watching star...I saw it, except that the disc I was watching started skipping w/ about 10 minutes to go, right when they were going to the drug deal w/ all the guns and shit. I'm sure something crazy was about to go down, but I never go around to reenting a different copy, so I don't know how it ends.

I read Glammerama a couple years ago. It's also about the same basic group of people. It is fantastic. I'e never read anything else by him though.

And 3 years is a long time to be the national goalie.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8707896367787504774.post-27953947136151196132007-10-06T14:29:00.000-05:002007-10-06T14:29:00.000-05:00Actually Dida has not been Brasil's #1 goalie for ...Actually Dida has not been Brasil's #1 goalie for all that long. During the World Cup in 2002, Marcos was their #1, and before that it was Taffarel for quite a long time. Dida was really only the #1 for about 3 years, and he has not played for Brasil's national team since the World Cup final in 2006. He's also the guy who got hit with a flare that some douchebag fan shot out of the stands a couple years ago, so he's probably a little more sensitive to fans attacking players and all that. That being said, what the fuck? Are soccer players so used to diving and faking injuries that they even do it when not playing?

P.S. Speaking of movies based on Bret Easton Ellis novels, have you seen The Rules of Attraction with James Vanderbeek? It's a weird one. Vanderbeek's character is actually the brother of Patrick Bateman (American Psycho), but they never mention that in the movie. It's got a great soundtrack.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
